Job summary

National Experienced Workforce Solutions seeks an Attorney Advisor to support Probate Hearings Division ALJs and Indian Probate Judges in Bloomington, MN. The role may be remote within 50 miles of a DOI site. Enrollees work under limited supervision in an at-will framework within the Experienced Services Program.

The position requires a J.D. or LL.B with substantial attorney experience (15+ years), probate law exposure is a plus, and proficiency with Windows/MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.B degree with at least 15 years of attorney experience.
• Experience in probate law is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Windows and MS Office apps (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support Probate Hearings Division ALJs and IPJs for hearings.
• Apply the rules of practice and manage case dockets and status.
• Conduct on-record evidentiary hearings under supervision; review evidence and credibility.
• Implement modernization efforts including electronic filing and docket management.
• Make determinations on admissibility, credibility, and rulings with opportunities for record review.
