Job summary

State of Oklahoma, Civil Service Division, seeks an Administrative Law Judge to review records, conduct hearings, and issue decisions under CSD rules.

This role requires a licensed Oklahoma attorney with at least five years of litigation or administrative law experience, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage hearings and courtroom proceedings, including coordinating virtual sessions via Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed member of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
• At least five (5) years of litigation and/or administrative law experience.
• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Experience with Office 365 or similar technology.
• Self-starter able to manage workload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assigned hearings.
• Rulings on objections, emergencies, continuances, and admissibility of evidence.
• Ruling on motions and merits of a case.
• Administering oaths and questioning witnesses.
• Preparing written findings and recommendations with facts and legal conclusions.
• Attending and conducting training in areas of law under CSD authority.
• Providing information regarding matters within CSD jurisdiction.
• Travel to in-person hearings if necessary and scheduling may vary.
