Qualifications

AA Degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate with 5+ years paralegal work.
Experience in probate law is a plus but not required.
Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

Review case files for completeness and accuracy and seek missing information.
Use the docketing system to update status and schedule hearings with the judge.
Prepare probate hearing notices and assist the judge during hearings.
Review records post-hearing for evidence sufficiency and schedule followups.
Draft probate decisions or orders and review for errors.
Provide guidance to legal assistants and support administrative tasks as needed.
Prepare case-related correspondence and handle timekeeping, purchasing and bill-pay.
