Alliance Orthopedics in Union, NJ seeks a Lead Physician Extender (Licensed Athletic Trainer) to support physicians and enhance patient care. You will manage PE/MA operations, mentor staff, coordinate appointments, and ensure compliant documentation and billing in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a NJ ATC license, 2+ years in healthcare, and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with the Medical team and patients.

Competenze

• Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer (ATC) license required.
• Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting, preferably supporting physicians.
• Degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• Familiarity with coding procedures and clinical pharmacology for scope of practice.

Mansioni

• Handle PTO requests and coverage for the PE/MA department.
• Lead Thursday morning PE meetings.
• Assist in ensuring DME is properly distributed.
• Assist with bi-weekly billing calls to ensure timely billing.
• Keep the team updated on policy/procedure changes.
• Assist with onboarding of new PE/MA department staff.
• Serve as contact person for PE/MA questions or concerns.
• Ensure adequate staffing and role performance across teams.
• Support patient retention through excellent service and responsive inquiries.
• Collaborate with Clinical Director to coordinate orthopedic consultations and appointments.
• Record patient vital signs and medical history with confidentiality.
• Conduct post-procedure follow-ups to address recovery concerns.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are ready.
• Assist physicians during procedures and anticipate needs.
• Deliver compassionate care to patients and families.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance for privacy and safety.
• Coordinate with Medical Team for patient questions and continuity of care.
• Work with Location Supervisor on scheduling and confirmation calls to patients.
• Maintain presentation standards of evaluation rooms.
• Complete no less than 10 Clinical Mentorships weekly in region.
• Review KPIs with teams weekly to improve performance and adherence to Alliance protocols.
