Lunar Energy, Inc. is seeking a Staff ATE Mechanical Engineer in Mountain View, CA to lead the full mechanical product development lifecycle of our home energy systems.

You will design high-performance parts, create documentation, manage BOMs and collaborate across cross‑functional teams to enable rapid, reliable production. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, prototyping, and close collaboration with suppliers for high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Extensive mechanical design experience with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (Onshape, NX, SolidWorks).
• Experience with PCBAs, bed-of-nails fixtures and GD&T.
• Ability to perform FEA, tolerance analysis and root cause investigations.
• Prototyping and high-volume manufacturing awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own the full mechanical product development lifecycle for home energy systems.
• Design high-performance, manufacturable parts and assemblies.
• Create drawings, define BOMs, and manage vendor relations.
• Collaborate with electrical, test, and production teams.
• Support prototypes, production releases and process validation.
