BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Senior to coordinate day-to-day in-charge duties, plan fieldwork, and prepare financial statements with disclosures, applying GAAP and documentation across controls. You will also serve as client contact and may participate in reviews.

The role emphasizes supervising audit staff, coordinating engagement teams, and ensuring compliance with SEC/PCAOB guidelines, GAAS, and professional standards, with salaries in the NYC area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics; CPA certification preferred or required.
• Two or more years of audit experience in public accounting or related field.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA exams is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and professional standards.
• Ability to supervise staff and communicate effectively with clients.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate day-to-day audit planning, fieldwork and wrap-up including financial statement prep with disclosures.
• Document, validate and assess design and operating effectiveness of client internal controls.
• Act as client contact for basic questions and information and participate in reviews.
• Supervise and review work of Audit Associates and ensure compliance with SEC/PCAOB guidelines.
