Job summary

BDO USA, P.A. is seeking an Assurance Experienced Associate in Metairie, LA to prepare financial statements with disclosures and document, validate, test, and assess client control systems. You may participate in reviews and agreed-upon procedures engagements.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field, CPA eligibility, and 1+ year of audit experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, required OR Bachelor’s degree in other focus area and CPA certification, required
• Master’s in Accountancy, preferred
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment required and actively pursuing completion of the exams, required

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements with disclosures and document, validate, test, and assess control systems
• Involved in reviews and agreed-upon procedures engagements
• Apply knowledge of professional standards and auditing theory to client situations
• Ensure work papers and documentation meet BDO methodology and requirements
