Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Assurance Associate to prepare financial statements with disclosures in accordance with GAAP. You will document and test internal controls, support reviews and procedures, and travel as needed to serve clients. Strong accounting knowledge and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics or CPA‑eligible status; CPA certification or progress is preferred. Master’s in Accountancy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required, or CPA certification if degree is in another field.
• Master’s in Accountancy preferred.
• Leadership experience and accounting internship preferred.
• CPA exam eligibility is required upon starting employment or as stated.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements with disclosures under GAAP.
• Document, validate, test and assess client internal control systems.
• Support reviews and agreed‑upon procedures engagements.
• Travel as needed to meet firm and client needs.
