Job summary

Adult Correction is seeking an Associate Warden for Programs at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women in Raleigh. The role oversees program services, including case management, chaplaincy, treatment, education, and transitional services, reporting to the Correctional Deputy Prison Warden.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with two years of supervisory or management experience in correctional programs, plus eligibility for state certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two years of supervisory or management level experience in correctional programs.
• Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
• Meet Criminal Justice Standards requirements (12 NCAC 09G .0302) and pass background checks.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for program services across custody and offender programs.
• Direct offender classification processes ensuring timely, accurate decisions.
• Coordinate staff training, budget planning, and compliance with department policies.
