Embark with Us in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Associate to join the deal diligence team, focusing on financial data gathering, analysis, and preparing agendas for client and target company discussions.

The role requires 2–4 years in Big 4/public accounting, experience with EBITDA adjustments, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. CPA is a plus; you will coach junior staff and lead meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (advanced degree is a plus).
• CPA designation preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in Big 4/public accounting performing audits and related services; 1+ years in transaction services/due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Financial due diligence for buy-side and sell-side transactions: data gathering, manipulation, and analysis.
• Build agendas and discussion points for meetings with client and target companies.
• Identify accounting issues and deal risks; document quality of earnings and net working capital adjustments.
• Communicate with internal and external leaders daily.
• Coach and develop less experienced team members.
• Participate in firm initiatives and recruiting efforts.

What you’ll be doing...

• Financial due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side transactions, which includes: data gathering, manipulation, and analysis
• Building agendas and discussion points for meetings with client and/or target companies
• Identifying key accounting issues and deal risks - including the identification, calculation, and documentation of quality of earnings and net working capital adjustments
• Communicating and interacting with both internal and external leaders on a daily basis
• Coaching and development of less experienced team members
• Participating in firm initiatives and recruiting efforts

To be a good fit for our Senior Associate role you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (advanced degree is a plus)
• CPA designation preferred
• Between 2 to 4 years of experience in Big 4/public accounting performing audits and related services for a diverse client base, and at least 1+ years of transaction services/due diligence experience
• Experience identifying, calculating, and documenting adjustments related to EBITDA and net working capital
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Experience leading meetings with various members of management (both clients and target companies)
• Microsoft Office proficiency with a focus on strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• The ability to work independently and on multiple projects concurrently
