Job summary

CleanCapital in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Associate, Development to manage the pipeline of solar and energy storage projects and oversee development partnerships. You will report to the Director of Development and support projects from origination through Notice to Proceed, with independent execution across disciplines.

The role requires solar/storage development experience, strong project management, and the ability to handle complex tasks with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
5+ years of experience in renewable energy development with a proven track record.
Experience with solar energy, battery storage, and related technologies.
PMP certification, MBA, or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead full life cycle development of solar and storage projects from early development to Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Serve as day-to-day liaison with partners on routine project and partnership needs.
Coordinate and manage project parties internally and externally.
Initiate and manage project diligence across legal, interconnection, finance, engineering, environmental, permitting, policy, and investment revenue.
Support diligence reviews across company departments.
Improve project development and management processes while maintaining partner relationships.
