Job summary

Berkeley Research Group (BRG) seeks a Senior Associate in its Integrated Health Solutions practice to support and oversee revenue cycle engagements, including financial analysis, client deliverables, and business development in fast-paced environments.

You will use R, SQL, and Python to develop analyses, manage client relationships, and help drive measurable improvements across Patient Access, HIM/Coding, Charge Capture, and Revenue Integrity.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of healthcare industry or consulting experience in revenue cycle performance improvement and process reengineering.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., BS, BBA, MBA, MHA, MA, or MS) is required; a focus in management, accounting, finance, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• An applicable industry certification (e.g., CRCR, CHFP, CHAM, CRCE‑I, or CRCE‑P) is preferred.
• Experience with Patient Access, HIM/Coding, Charge Capture, Revenue Integrity, Denials and Underpayments Management and Recovery is preferred.
• Strong project management experience and ability to draft workplans, budgets, timelines, and deliverables are required.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of client engagements within revenue cycle projects, including FP&A and operational improvements.
• Develop operational and financial metric improvements (DNFB reduction, AR days, faster cash collection, improved insurance verification, Medicaid eligibility conversions).
• Develop analyses and financial models using transactional data; contribute to client deliverables and reports.
• Prepare workgroup and steering committee presentations; manage client relationships at multiple levels.
• Use R, SQL, and Python to perform analyses and develop practical solutions.
• Progress tasks toward independence; audit practices to identify risks and opportunities.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally; collaborate with team members to meet deadlines.
