Qualifications

• Two to four years of healthcare industry or consulting experience in revenue cycle performance improvement and process reengineering.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree required; focus in related disciplines preferred.
• An applicable industry certification (e.g., CRCR, CHFP, CHAM, CRCE-I, or CRCE-P) is preferred.
• Operational expertise in Patient Access, HIM/Coding, Charge Capture, Revenue Integrity, Denials and Underpayments Management and Recovery, or Patient Financial Services is preferred.
• Strong project management experience and demonstrated success contributing to assessments and project implementations are required.
• Ability to draft workplans, project budgets, timelines, and deliverables is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage team and client relationships effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to succeed in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment while meeting client expectations.
• Desire and ability to manage processes and other consultants.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, MEDITECH, or athenaIDX is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of small- to medium-sized client engagements and discrete segments of larger projects.
• Advance initiatives across the revenue cycle continuum (Patient Access, HIM/Coding, Charge Capture, Revenue Integrity, Denials & Underpayments, and Patient Financial Services).
• Develop operational and financial metric improvements, reduce DNFB and AR days, accelerate cash, improve insurance verifications and Medicaid eligibility.
• Assist with project charters, workplans, realization schedules, and transition-planning documents.
• Develop analyses and financial models using transactional data.
• Contribute to client deliverables and expert reports.
• Prepare workgroup and steering committee presentations.
• Manage client relationships at representative, supervisor, manager, and director levels.
• Use R, SQL, and Python and other analytics tools to develop solutions.
• Identify next steps and practical workarounds for tasks while progressing toward independence.
• Audit client practices to support quality and identify risks/opportunities.
• Adapt to different client personalities and management styles.
• Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Contribute as a team member to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
