Job summary

Ares Management LLC is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Registered Secondaries Accounting team in Boston. You will lead day-to-day accounting, NAV processes and regulatory reporting for registered investment companies investing in private equity secondaries and related structures.

You will review administrator deliverables, coordinate with internal and external teams, and strengthen processes as the platform grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 4–7 years of experience in fund accounting or investment accounting.
• Experience with private equity or registered funds preferred.
• US GAAP knowledge and regulatory reporting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly NAV process with reconciliations and close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and close workpapers.
• Review fund investments, capital calls, distributions and related activity.
• Oversee daily cash activities and payment processing; resolve cash differences.
• Review fund financial statements and transaction notices for accuracy.
• Prepare regulatory reporting such as N-PORT, N-2, N-CSRS as applicable.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal teams to meet deadlines.
• Mentor junior team members and drive process improvements.
