Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Technology Diligence Analyst to evaluate software platforms across commercial, operational, and financial dimensions. You will conduct architecture reviews, analyze cloud infrastructure, and provide insights on SaaS economics to support diligence engagements.

The role requires 3–6 years in software/tech, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to travel up to 50%. You’ll work with private equity and strategic clients in technology diligence projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; computer science is a plus
• 3–6 years of software-related work experience
• 3–6 years of technology experience, such as software engineering, cloud engineering, architecture analysis, or product development
• Transaction experience desired, ideally in Technology Due Diligence and/or strategic value creation assignments
• Experience in SaaS or platform businesses preferred
• Ability to sift through large datasets quickly to identify patterns and develop insights
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Structured problem solving
• Attention to detail
• High learning agility
• Passion for the software industry
• Interest in private equity and transaction environments
• Ability to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

• Evaluate software platforms through an integrated commercial, operational, and financial lens
• Provide analytical and technical support across product technology diligence engagements
• Assess software platforms across technical architecture, product strategy, operational scalability, and financial sustainability
• Conduct architecture reviews and documentation analysis
• Support codebase and technical debt analysis
• Analyze cloud infrastructure configurations
• Assist in evaluating roadmap feasibility
• Evaluate engineering operating models, including team structure, velocity, and DevOps
• Provide points of view on scalability risks, performance bottlenecks, and security considerations
• Support hosting cost, SaaS economics, and R&D cost analysis
• Prepare diligence slides, summaries, and deal insights
• Support management Q&A tracking
• Assist Private Equity and strategic clients with Product Technology Diligence engagements
