Job summary

Deerpath Capital is a leading direct lending firm focusing on first lien senior debt for middle market companies in the U.S. The Senior Associate will work across underwriting, portfolio management, and restructuring, partnering with senior deal team members to underwrite opportunities and monitor investments.

The role offers meaningful responsibility from day one, with exposure to credit analysis, financial modeling, and deal execution, while mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic achievement.
• 5–8 years in principal investing or related fields.
• Strong credit analysis, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
• Experience with deal execution across industries.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.
• Willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Restructuring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite investments for existing portfolio and present to the investment committee.
• Monitor credit investments and report to leadership.
• Drive deal execution and build relationships with sponsors and management.
• Develop and review financial models including LBOs and valuations.
• Support amendments and deal structuring.
• Coordinate documentation and review of credit agreements.
• Partner with the restructuring team on workouts.
• Develop and mentor junior team members.
