Job summary

National Life Group in Montpelier, VT, seeks a Senior Associate for Private Credit Platform Management to support investment teams and Transaction Committees. You will transform complex information into precise, decision-ready materials and coordinate governance processes across Direct Lending, Asset-Based Finance, and Structured Credit.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, AI-savvy, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–9 years of professional experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, management consulting, executive office support, investment banking, investment management, investor relations, client service, or related analytical/business operations role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex information for senior audiences.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with cross-functional coordination experience.
• Fluency with modern AI tools and responsible use in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Distill complex information into precise, objective, decision-ready analysis for investment professionals and leadership.
• Produce board-, executive-, and committee-level presentations and reporting with clear narratives and visuals.
• Conduct data analysis across Direct Lending, Asset-Based Finance, and Structured Credit to support origination and risk monitoring.
• Leverage advanced Excel, AI tools, and data visualization to improve analytics and processes.
• Coordinate priorities, organize teams, track deliverables, and drive execution across strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate meeting materials, maintain minutes, track approvals and action items for the Private Credit Transaction Committee.
• Partner with investment, risk, finance, and operations teams to standardize reporting and metrics.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and briefing materials for senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting, governance, workflows, and AI-enabled processes.
• All other duties as assigned.
