Job summary

LSEG is seeking a Senior Associate in its Group Corporate Development team in New York. You will support defining M&A strategy, originate and execute opportunities, and build financial models to enable informed decisions.

You’ll work with partners across the business and lead portions of transaction workstreams end-to-end. You will develop relationships with executives and external advisers, perform rigorous analyses, and contribute to strategy/pipeline development.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate development, strategy, deal advisory, or finance centred team(s).
• Experience of supporting live M&A/Strategy/Investment projects.
• Strong experience working within a team.
• Degree or equivalent and professional qualification (CFA, CA, ACA).
• Genuine passion for M&A.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple activities across our portfolio of projects, including live transaction support end-to-end, developing M&A strategy and pipelines.
• Ensure high quality output and timely delivery against deadlines.
• Support delivery of transaction execution, including coordination, plans, materials and integration planning.
• Build high quality transaction-related financial models and appraisal materials for decision making.
• Take ownership of transaction workstreams on selected projects (due diligence, business plan modelling, integration).
• Contribute to artefacts for group and divisional M&A strategy and pipelines.
• Support coordination and evaluation of select origination opportunities.
• Oversee associates and graduates on projects and mentor on best practice.
