Job summary

RiseMe in Oak Brook Terrace, IL seeks an Associate General Counsel to provide strategic, results-driven counsel across the enterprise. The role emphasizes insurance and reinsurance contracting, privacy and data security, and regulatory compliance for health products.

You will lead negotiations, manage litigation, advise on AI governance, and collaborate with business teams on new initiatives. A JD and active license are required; 10+ years in law firms or insurers is preferred.

Qualifications

• JD required and active license to practice law
• Experience in insurance or reinsurance environments
• Knowledge of privacy laws, data security, and AI governance preferred
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts and agreements
• Strong litigation management and vendor oversight skills

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management and key stakeholders
• Lead contract negotiation and drafting, including reinsurance agreements
• Advise on privacy, security, and AI governance with regulatory insight
• Counsel on health law matters related to supplemental health products
• Manage professional liability and cyber liability claims and outside counsel
