Job summary

Clearbrook Holdings Inc. is seeking an experienced attorney to provide strategic counsel on property and casualty insurance matters, including regulatory and compliance work across admitted and surplus lines. The role requires balancing legal risk with business objectives in a highly regulated environment.

The ideal candidate has a JD, 5+ years’ experience, and strong research and communication skills. Base salary varies by location, with a Chicago range highlighted and a bonus potential

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and in good standing with a US state bar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience focusing on insurance compliance and regulatory work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on insurance regulatory compliance for admitted and surplus lines.
• Review and negotiate intercompany reinsurance and related agreements.
• Advise on strategic initiatives, new products, and regulatory changes.
• Conduct regulatory research and monitor developments across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure consistent advice.
• Balance legal risk with business objectives in a regulated environment.
