United Franchise Group, headquartered in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks an Associate General Counsel to provide strategic, practical legal advice to UFG and its affiliated brands. The role reports to the General Counsel and balances legal risk with business objectives across domestic and international franchises.

The successful candidate will manage significant matters, guide compliance, and support M&A, IP, and regulatory initiatives to drive growth and efficiency within a dynamic franchising

Formación

• Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar admission in the state of Florida.
• 4–7 years of experience in commercial and business law with emphasis on transactional work.
• Intellectual property law experience preferred.
• Experience in international legal matters and/or franchise law is a plus.
• Ability to interpret diverse instructions and write routine reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior management and business leaders on a broad range of legal and business matters affecting UFG and its affiliated companies.
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements and amendments, vendor agreements, master service agreements, technology agreements and other complex contracts.
• Provide legal support through the franchise sales process, reviewing documents and advising sales and operations personnel.
• Provide guidance on federal/state franchise laws and FTC requirements.
• Monitor legal developments and advise on changes affecting the business.
• Manage domestic and international trademark matters and coordinate with outside counsel.
