Job summary

Prudential Annuities Distributors (PAD) in Newark, NJ, seeks an Associate Manager, Financial Reporting to support Retirement and U.S. Legacy Product segments with GAAP and Statutory reporting.

You will lead quarterly and annual close deliverables, analyze trends, and support SEC filings while collaborating with Finance teams. A CPA is preferred and a hybrid schedule requires on-site presence three days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze, challenge, and influence financial matters.
• Experience managing multiple deliverables to deadlines; insurance accounting knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual GAAP and Statutory financial reporting.
• Ensure statements are accurate and timely with controlled processes.
• Analyze trends and variances in segment income statements and balance sheets.
• Support SEC 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Support reinsurance analytics and arrangements.
• Handle ad hoc requests for strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
