Prudential Financial in Newark, NJ seeks an Associate Manager, Financial Reporting within the Individual Retirement Controllers Team. This role supports Retirement and U.S. Legacy Product segments with GAAP and Statutory financial reporting and analysis.

The team handles quarterly close, SEC filings support, and provides financial insights to senior management. The position is hybrid (on-site 3 days per week) with on-going opportunities to drive process improvements and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze, assess, and influence financial matters.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Understand and prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables (GAAP and Statutory).
• Ensure statements are accurate and supported by controlled processes.
• Analyze trends and variances in segment income statements and balance sheets.
• Support SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K).
• Support reinsurance analytics and related initiatives.
• Handle ad hoc requests for strategic initiatives.
• Drive continuous process improvements and efficiencies.
