Prudential Annuities Distributors (PAD) in Newark, NJ seeks a senior leader for Investment Management - Investment Operations. You will lead and develop a team, drive accurate accounting across multiple asset classes and currencies, and partner with Treasury, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Technology to deliver solutions.

The role emphasizes month-end/quarter-end reporting, control enhancements, and supporting audits. Advanced Excel and core investment accounting knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in investment operations, investment accounting, finance, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of investment products and accounting principles.
• Deep knowledge of various investment security types.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects, managing priorities, and delivering results in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience with PAM for Investments, Cognos, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of investment accounting professionals.
• Drive accurate accounting and reporting of complex investment transactions across asset classes and currencies.
• Oversee reconciliations and accounting activities to ensure accurate records and compliant reporting.
• Partner with Treasury, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Technology to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
• Support month-end and quarter-end reporting and strategic initiatives to improve operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency.
• Lead projects and system enhancements to strengthen investment accounting capabilities.
• Support audits by ensuring controls are performed and documentation maintained.
