The role partners with Finance, Actuarial, and IT to deliver accurate, timely financial data.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree required.
• 1–2 years accounting experience.
• Strong partnering and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated, team player.
• Detail oriented; eager to learn.
• STAT and GAAP reporting knowledge a plus.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Oracle ledger and PIPS knowledge a plus.
• Overtime required.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of new accounting for new business initiatives including creating Statutory and GAAP examples.
• Partner with Operations to perform Table Maintenance System changes.
• Collaborate with technology to test accounting transactions and reports in the administration system/sub-ledger (PIPS).
• Update documentation for new business releases.
• Process proofs and controls; research and resolve issues.
• Support other FSO teams and business partners in policyholder accounting.
• Provide internal and external audit support on policyholder accounting.
• Handle ad-hoc requests.
