Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or five years experience in financial aid with progressive growth in responsibilities
• 3 years’ professional experience within Financial Aid, including a one-stop office with a focus on financial aid service
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of student Financial Aid laws and regulations, internal controls, compliance and audit concepts
• Ability to streamline processes and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Leadership as a collaborative team member

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial aid training materials and lead staff training for timely, accurate awarding of aid
• Develop and implement innovative approaches to financial aid procedures and process improvements
• Collaborate with office, division and university staff to drive continuous improvement
• Review Financial Aid Offers in collaboration with EMCC and oversee automated processes with UDIT
• Oversee Federal Work Study reconciliation, Direct Loans and grant programs to mitigate compliance risk
• Coordinate electronic loan file handling with private lenders and ensure timely disbursements
