Job summary

92nd Street Y seeks a full-time Competitive Swimming coach with focus on safety, skill development, and program leadership. You will oversee daily operations, lead the Age Group program, and drive sales and engagement for the team store.

You will mentor coaches, manage budgets, and collaborate with marketing and operations to promote aquatics programming at 92NY and off-site locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of coaching experience (ASCA level 2 or higher preferred).
• Minimum 3 years' experience working in customer service or office environment.
• Extremely well organized and detail oriented with developed computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and diplomatic communication skills; self-motivated for large projects.
• Current USA Swimming (including CPR/AED) certification required; background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead establishment of the swim team mission, values and vision with the Director.
• Manage administration and daily operations of the YFD Swimming Program.
• Direct the daily operations of the YFD Swimming Program, focusing on the Age Group program.
• Recruit, train, and supervise the team of Assistant Coaches.
• Assist with drafting and achieving YFD budget and Aquatic Division budget.
• Oversee Team Store in partnership with TYR and promote apparel and equipment sales.
• Develop relationships to drive sales and patron engagement.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Building Operations and Public Relations to promote aquatics programming.
• Organize events such as team banquets, fundraising, and senior recognition.
