Job summary

Maravai LifeSciences seeks an Associate Director, Assistant General Counsel to support commercial and IP licensing transactions, reporting to the Sr. Director, AGC. You will help shape the company’s legal strategy and work across the business to enable growth.

You will craft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, lead cross-functional teams, and contribute to risk management and regulatory compliance. The role is onsite with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent; admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• 2-5+ years of relevant legal experience, in large law firm or in-house commercial contracting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on commercial and IP licensing transactions within the portfolio.
• Develop and maintain standard forms of agreements and negotiating playbooks.
• Collaborate with product management, commercial, finance, R&D, and manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Oversee contract review processes and CLM tools; support regulatory compliance and risk management.
