Job summary

University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School seeks a Senior Associate Director, Career Advisor to guide students through career planning and industry recruitment. You will lead advising sessions, manage industry action plans in MAP, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to drive student outcomes.

With 5–7 years of experience and an MBA preferred, you’ll mentor students, coordinate communications, and participate in cross‑functional projects. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MBA or other graduate degree strongly preferred
• Experience in recruiting, job placement, career counseling or coaching and/or significant industry experience in one or more industries listed in the ad
• Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; Previous managerial experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct student career advising in large groups, small groups, and 1:1 settings.
• Manage action plans for industries within MAP (My Action Plan)
• Update content for job searching success and curate resources.
• Communicate industry insights to team and students; track interest for Relationships Managers.
• Participate on project teams and lead initiatives related to sub-groups and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
