University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School seeks a Senior Associate Director, Career Advisor to lead industry-based career advising and to manage student job-search activities. The role reports to the Director of Student Advising and oversees communications, content updates, and program delivery across clubs, alumni, and research centers in a dynamic, global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• MBA or other graduate degree strongly preferred
• Prior work experience in recruiting, job placement, career counseling or coaching and/or significant industry experience in consulting, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, tech, or related fields.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct student career advising in large group, small group, or one-on-one formats (e.g., Advising Circles, Office Hours).
• Guide students through all stages of the job search, including self‑assessment and industry recruiting processes.
• Manage action plans for industries within MAP and keep content updated for job search success.
• Track industry trends and communicate learnings to team and students; write and distribute timely communications.
• Participate on project teams covering platforms, sub-groups, and events; support special initiatives.
