Zusammenfassung

Veo, a leading micromobility company, seeks an Associate Controller to lead accounting, close processes, technical accounting, internal controls, and audit readiness. Reporting to the CFO, you will strengthen financial reporting and build scalable processes to support rapid growth.

This role blends deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, venture-backed environment and requires a hybrid office presence in Santa Monica.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth environments.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research.
• Leadership of accounting organizations, audits, and scalable systems.
• Experience with ERP systems and finance tech platforms.

Aufgaben

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Oversee financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and FP&A collaboration.
• Research, document, and implement technical accounting guidance (equity, leases, software capitalization).
• Design and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and audit readiness.
• Lead systems improvements, automation, and process optimization for scalability.
• Serve as liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory reporting.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, HR, IT and leadership to improve decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team and culture of excellence.
