Job summary

The City of New York's Department of Homeless Services seeks an Administrative Director of Social Services to lead Street Homeless Solutions. You will oversee SHS operations, manage contracts across dozens of sites, and ensure policy, audits, and quality assurance are implemented.

Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner, you will shape strategy, coordinate with DSS and partner agencies, and develop performance measures to improve housing placements and access to services for New Yorkers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of progressively responsible experience in social services or a related field.
• Graduate degree can substitute for up to three years of experience.
• License substitutions may replace up to three years of experience.
• Experience at administrative or managerial level is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SHS program operations including contracts for multiple sites and centers.
• Lead development and execution of policy initiatives and quality assurance systems.
• Coordinate with DSS ACCO, Office of Legal Affairs, and partner agencies on RFPs and MOUs.
• Drive rapid responses to emergencies and manage crisis-related program adjustments.
