Ideal candidates have 6+ years of legal or claims experience, possess a Juris Doctor, and hold an active license to practice law. Travel and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Juris Doctor degree required and active license to practice law.
• Three years of relevant legal or claims experience.
• Valid driver’s license or access to transportation for travel to events.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, investigate, and resolve moderate to complex Bond & Specialty Insurance claims with minimal supervision.
• Manage outside counsel relationships and negotiate settlements.
• Prepare management reports on loss development and exposure.
• Coordinate recovery efforts to optimize loss mitigation.
• Attend mediations, settlement conferences, trials, and depositions as needed.
• Provide legal and business support to underwriting and claims teams.
• Monitor industry trends and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor junior claim professionals.
• Ensure compliance with claims processes and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain documentation of claim activities and communications.
