Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required and Juris Doctor degree required.
• Licensed, registered, or authorized to practice law in the jurisdiction where you work.
• Strong verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, investigate, and resolve Bond & Specialty Claims of lower severity with supervision.
• Manage outside counsel and vendors; negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Prepare reports on loss development and exposure with guidance from management.
• Coordinate recovery efforts to mitigate losses and optimize outcomes.
• Attend mediations, settlements, trials, or depositions to support resolution.
• Provide legal and business support to underwriting colleagues, including reviewing contracts and forms.
• Ensure compliance with BSI claims processes and confidentiality protocols.
• Maintain thorough documentation of claim activities and communications.
