Job summary

RMI is seeking a Senior Associate to advance building decarbonization across the United States, with primary focus in California and the Northeast. You will combine data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project management to accelerate efficient, all-electric buildings.

You will develop quantitative models, synthesize findings into actionable recommendations, and contribute to reports, regulatory comments, and external-facing content.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in built environment fields such as building energy systems or related technical buildings field.
• Strong research, modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including working with large data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Locate, manage, and analyze data using creative approaches to inform policy and market strategies.
• Present quantitative information in clear visual formats and create compelling reports.
• Lead discrete projects or workstreams from design through execution, including budgeting and timelines.
• Engage with external partners and represent RMI in external meetings and conferences.
• Develop presentations, articles, and webinars to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
