Job summary

RMI's Carbon-Free Buildings Program is seeking a Senior Associate to advance building decarbonization across the United States, with a primary focus in California and the Northeast. The role blends data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic problem-solving to accelerate the transition to clean, energy-efficient, all-electric buildings.

You will lead discrete workstreams, manage external partnerships, and develop written products that inform industry policy and market transformation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in built environment or related field.
• Strong research and modeling skills with large data sets.
• Translate complex concepts into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Commitment to equitable, market-based climate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Locate, manage, and analyze data to illuminate problems and solutions.
• Present quantitative information in a clear visual format.
• Synthesize insights and recommendations into reports and blogs/policies.
• Engage external experts via interviews, conferences, and collaborations.
• Design quantitative models to address research questions for clients.
• Coach junior team members and lead workstreams within initiatives.
• Support project budgeting, timelines, and partner communications.
• Represent RMI in external meetings and public forums.
