Brown & Riding is seeking a Senior Associate Broker to support broker teams by marketing submissions, negotiating with underwriters, and servicing retail client files. You will prepare high-quality submissions, liaise with carriers, and maintain accurate records while meeting or exceeding client expectations.

The role emphasizes independent relationship-building with carriers, regulatory compliance, and providing guidance to junior staff in a dynamic office environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 8 years of relevant insurance experience.
• Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines Licenses (as required by state).
• Exceptional organizational, follow-up, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Market and manage submissions for basic and complex accounts, coordinating with carriers for quotes.
• Negotiate coverage terms, provide updates to clients, and manage client expectations.
• Prepare high-quality submissions and present information to underwriters.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory/compliance standards are met.
• Build and maintain carrier relationships with regular in-person contact.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members and support staff.
