Abacus Group in Manhattan, NY seeks a Senior Associate to join their banking-focused finance team. You will prepare IFRS and local statements, generate management and regulatory reports, and build analytical cost reports to guide business decisions.

You will support budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and P&L projections, while contributing to system upgrades and automation. CPA preferred with 2–5 years banking accounting experience.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience in commercial banking.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Foreign bank experience is a plus.
• Experience with bonds, derivatives, and money market instruments.
• IFRS experience is a plus.
• CPA preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare financial statements under IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Generate financial reports and analysis for management, headquarters, treasury, and corporate teams.
• Develop analytical and cost accounting reports to support business decisions.
• Compile regulatory reports and ensure accurate reporting requirements are met.
• Execute internal controls to support financial accuracy and compliance.
• Provide P&L projections and financial insights to support planning activities.
• Support budgeting processes and financial forecasting initiatives.
• Assist with system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and automation projects.
• Analyze tax‑related data and prepare supporting documentation for compliance needs.
