Job summary

Wertz & Associates in the Pittsburgh area is seeking a Senior Associate in Audit & Assurance Services to lead engagements from planning through completion and to mentor staff while engaging with clients across industries.

You will develop deep client relationships, oversee fieldwork, and stay current on accounting standards, delivering timely, high-quality assurance services with a focus on leadership and career growth within a collaborative firm.

About the Opportunity

As a Senior Associate within the Audit & Assurance practice, you'll take ownership of audit engagements from planning through completion while working directly with clients and engagement teams.

Key Responsibilities
Audit Engagement Leadership
  • Lead audit engagements from planning through completion
  • Execute and oversee audit fieldwork and testing procedures
  • Direct engagement teams to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Research and resolve accounting and auditing issues
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm requirements
Client Service
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Develop a deep understanding of client operations and business objectives

Team Leadership
  • Supervise, train, and mentor Staff Associates and junior team members

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
