Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one state.
• 5-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in energy, project development, or related transactions.
• Experience with M&A, project finance, infrastructure, energy, PE or complex commercial transactions.
• Strong written communication and error-free drafting.
• Self-starter able to handle multiple projects under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support acquisitions, divestitures, financings and other strategic transactions across Energix's renewable energy portfolio.
• Collaborate with senior executives and business leaders on strategic initiatives and key commercial decisions.
• Liaise with outside counsel for transaction support and oversee documentation from term sheet to closing, including due diligence.
• Partner with development and finance teams in negotiations with contractors, landowners, government agencies, investors, and lenders.
• Provide broad legal support across regulatory, commercial, construction, real estate, HR and finance issues.
