Senior Associate/Associate

Description:

Founded in 2024 and based in Dallas, Texas, is a fund with $185 million AUM. The firm closed its inaugural SBIC Fund in March 2024 and has invested in 10 operating companies to date. The firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join the early stages of a Texas-based SBIC Fund, which invests mezzanine debt and equity (non-control) in lower middle market companies across the U.S. with a focus on the southwest.

Responsibilities for the Associate and Senior Associate roles will include:

• New deal review and assessment
• Conduct financial, operational and market analysis to support diligence of potential investments
• Help lead due diligence efforts, including creation of diligence lists, industry research and coordination of third-party providers
• Prepare financial models, investment memos and portfolio review documents to share with stakeholders
• Review data rooms in detail and synthesize findings
• Actively participate in internal and external conversations surrounding potential investments and portfolio companies
• Monitor portfolio company performance and listen in to Board meetings as an observer
• Travel for company site visits and select board meetings
• Represent Providence and articulate our strategy and investment criteria to prospective companies, investment bankers, lenders, co-investors, and LP investors.
