Our client is a private credit firm based in Dallas, Texas, managing a portfolio of middle-market companies with significant invested capital. The firm specializes in providing flexible credit solutions, typically making investments between $5 million and $50 million, across the capital structure, including senior debt, subordinated debt, and non-control equity co-investments. With a stable capital base, the firm offers innovative financing solutions to support long-term growth for its portfolio companies.

The firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Dallas investment team. The individual will be involved in all aspects of the investment underwriting, execution, and portfolio management process while working closely with senior investment professionals in a lean, execution-focused environment. This role provides broad exposure to lower middle market investment opportunities across industries and geographies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct credit underwriting and initial analysis of new investment opportunities
• Build, review, and maintain financial models and investment analyses
• Assist with due diligence and execution of transactions
• Prepare investment committee presentations and supporting materials
• Support portfolio company monitoring and performance assessment
• Perform industry research, comparable company analysis, and valuation work
• Assist with pipeline management, weekly investment team meetings, and business development tracking
• Collaborate closely with senior investment professionals on small deal teams
• Manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Qualifications:

• 5–6 years of relevant experience in private credit, direct lending, commercial banking, investment banking, or related investment roles
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative capabilities, including advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, valuation methodologies, and middle-market capital structures
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to operate effectively within small teams and interact with senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Team-oriented, professional, motivated, and interested in credit investing
