Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Sr. Associate in Alternative Assets to join its investment team in Hartford. The role offers exposure across private equity, private credit, secondaries, co-investments and other alternative investment strategies.

Responsibilities include conducting due diligence, evaluating investments, preparing recommendations for committees, monitoring performance, and building relationships with fund managers to identify opportunities in private markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in alternative investments, asset management, insurance investing, pensions, endowments, OCIOs, or fund-of-funds platforms.
• Strong understanding of private equity, private credit, and institutional investing.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
