Private Funds / Alternative Assets Associate | 2 to 6 Years | New York
Our client, a leading firm in this space, is hiring a junior to midlevel associate into its Alternative Asset Opportunities team in New York.
This is not a narrow funds seat. The work sits at the intersection of private fund secondaries, recapitalizations, co-invests, fund structuring, and cross-border transactions across private equity, credit, real estate, venture capital, and infrastructure.
2 to 6 years of law firm experience in alternative assets, secondaries, private funds, fund formation, GP-leds, co-invests, or adjacent investor-side work.
You should know how to own a workstream, turn documents cleanly, and think commercially. Strong drafting matters here. So does judgment.
You will get range. This group advises across asset classes and works with sophisticated global investors on high-value matters.
You will also get a real platform: a deep investor-side bench, strong cross-office support, and a training culture that puts time into developing associates instead of just using them.
For the right midlevel, this is a strong move if you want broader exposure, better deal reps, and a seat in a practice that is active in the market right now.
