About the Opportunity
A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking an Associate to join its Secondaries & Portfolio Finance team. The team focuses on innovative capital solutions across the private markets, with exposure to portfolio finance, NAV-based lending, GP financing, LP interest financings, and credit secondaries.
This is an opportunity to work on complex transactions across the private equity and credit ecosystem, gaining exposure to a broad range of investment strategies, structures, and industries while working alongside an experienced, globally integrated investment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate private equity and credit investment opportunities across secondaries and portfolio finance transactions
- Build and analyze sophisticated company-level, fund-level, and GP-level financial models
- Support and lead transaction due diligence, including coordinating diligence requests and analyzing key findings
- Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal investment committees
- Conduct market and investment research and develop independent investment views
- Work directly with GPs, intermediaries, lenders, and other transaction stakeholders
- Monitor existing investments and participate in GP and advisory board meetings
- Contribute to investment research, market analysis, and internal knowledge sharing
- Leverage emerging AI tools and technologies to improve investment analysis, workflow efficiency, and execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, or a related investment role
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- Experience with complex transaction structures, due diligence, and investment execution
- Exposure to fund-level or asset-level valuation, NAV analysis, and cash flow-based assessments
- Understanding of private market investment structures and risk assessment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with senior investment professionals and external stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in secondaries, private credit, and innovative private-market investment strategies
