Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sr Associate Accountant to join the accounting team. You will research, analyze, and reconcile accounts, ensuring accurate month-end closes and timely financial data. You will work to resolve issues and support audits in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You will prepare journal entries, maintain reconciliations, and present monthly results with variance analysis. The role requires strong analytical skills, GAAP knowledge, and experience with large ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• 3–5 years accounting experience in corporate environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems (Oracle/PeopleSoft/SAP).

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end closing and journal entries.
• Prepare, enter and adjust journal entries and accruals.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations with analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variances.
• Support quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policy.
• Coordinate with other departments and external parties on accounting matters.
• Support SOX compliance and process improvements.
