Job summary

Independent Recruitment Consultant (freelancer) seeks a detail-oriented US accounting professional to manage accounting and reporting for USA-based clients, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The role covers period-end close, GL review, budgeting, variance analysis, and preparation of P&L and balance sheet, with dashboards and KPI reporting.

Strong English communication, proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, and experience with QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage are required; home office setup

Qualifications

Job description

Role & responsibilities :

• Manage US accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
• Maintain and update accounting records for a diverse portfolio of USA-based clients.
• Perform period-end closing of books and review GL accounts for timely closure. Collaborate with client leadership to meet SLAs and create necessary documents, such as SOPs.
• Liaise with team managers and US clients, providing daily work updates.
• Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS/Ind AS and experience in QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage preferred.
• Handle budgeting, variance reporting, and preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet).
• Develop financial dashboards and business intelligence KPI reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks/Xero and US accounting roles is required.
