Job summary

Genuine Search Group is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice in California. This role focuses on personal injury defense and requires independent caseload management from evaluation through resolution.

Candidates should have active California Bar membership, about 6+ years of civil litigation experience, strong deposition and trial-prep skills, and experience with insurance carriers.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Approximately 6+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in personal injury defense.
• Strong deposition, discovery, motion practice, mediation and settlement experience.
• Ability to independently manage cases and deadlines.
• Experience working with insurance carriers and insured clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury defense matters from inception through settlement or trial.
• Handle matters involving premises liability, automobile accidents, general liability, catastrophic injury, and related tort claims.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive motions.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, experts, and other parties.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and provide recommendations regarding exposure.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trials.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice. This opportunity is geared toward an attorney with a strong background in personal injury defense who can independently manage an active caseload from initial evaluation through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury defense matters from inception through settlement or trial
• Handle matters involving premises liability, automobile accidents, general liability, catastrophic injury, and related tort claims
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, experts, and other parties
• Develop case strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and provide recommendations regarding exposure
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trials
• Work directly with clients, insurance carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
• Prepare witnesses and experts for deposition and trial
• Negotiate settlements and pursue efficient case resolution when appropriate
• Mentor junior associates and assist with overall case strategy

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• Approximately 6+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably with substantial personal injury defense experience
• Strong experience handling premises liability and general liability matters preferred
• Ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
• Significant deposition, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and settlement experience
• Trial or substantive trial-preparation experience is highly valued
• Strong legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and client communication skills
• Experience working with insurance carriers and insured clients is a plus
