Job summary

Desert Diamond Sahuarita is seeking a senior accounting leader to direct the day-to-day activities of the accounting department under the Financial Controller. This role requires strict confidentiality and adherence to gaming compliance.

You will oversee internal controls, financial reporting for slot machines, and coordination with agencies such as NIGC and ADOG, plus prepare tax forms and support external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field plus ten years accounting experience; gaming experience required.
• Eight years in a gaming environment and five in a management capacity.
• CPA preferred.
• No felony, theft or stealing convictions; must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background check and obtain gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day activities of the accounting department under the Financial Controller.
• Establishes internal controls and procedures to improve reporting and prevent inaccuracies.
• Reviews gaming enterprise accounting data to identify and resolve imbalances.
• Manages revenue reporting systems and reporting to outside agencies including NIGC and ADOG.
• Prepares tax forms and IRS reporting; supports external audit preparations.
• Oversees bank accounts, cash flow reporting, and disbursements; manages CIP projects.
• Trains and supervises finance staff; ensures policies are followed.
