Job summary

Boly:Welch is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their Portland finance team, driving accuracy and integrity in financial operations. You'll supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, manage journal entries and reconciliations, and partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

The role emphasizes process improvements, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years accounting/finance experience including public and/or corporate accounting.
• 3+ years supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities with accurate reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and complex accounting transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and audit/documentation.
• Improve processes and drive automation in accounting policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support decision-making.
